Fall Semester 2025

Date and Time: 28 November 2025, 17.00-18.00

Speaker: Diego Borbón, Stehr-Boldt Fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics (UZH) and Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universidad Externado de Colombia.

The lecture examines how European regulatory frameworks through the Brussels Effect influence AI governance debates in Latin America, where legal transplants often draw on the EU’s AI Act. It highlights the opportunities and frictions that emerge when European models are adopted without critical adaptation to regional realities. A discussion and Apéro will follow. It is open to everyone, and will be hybrid. Further information is available on our website. Registrations are open via this link.
